Who processes your data?
Jérôme Dumas, sole trader operating as SCM Optimum, is the controller of personal data processed in connection with this website and the requests sent to him.
Address: 7 rue Poizat, 69100 Villeurbanne, France.
Contact: contact@scmoptimum.com.
What data is collected and why?
Contact requests
The contact form collects your name, email address and message in order to handle your request and reply to you. Your company name is optional. Mandatory fields are indicated in the form; without them, the request cannot be sent.
When your request concerns a possible assignment, processing is based on pre-contractual steps taken at your request. For other business requests, it is based on SCM Optimum’s legitimate interest in replying to people who contact it.
Using the form does not subscribe you to any newsletter.
Form security
Checks are used to limit abusive submissions, spam and identical messages. They are based on SCM Optimum’s legitimate interest in protecting its website and mailbox.
These checks temporarily use fingerprints calculated from the IP address, the email address or the message, as well as counters. These fingerprints are pseudonymised data, not anonymous data.
Links to LinkedIn
Some articles are published on LinkedIn. By following these links, you leave the website and LinkedIn’s own rules apply: LinkedIn privacy policy.
Who can access the data?
Contact requests are intended for Jérôme Dumas. Technical service providers are involved to the extent necessary to provide their services, in particular OVHcloud for hosting and Microsoft 365 for business email.
How long is data kept?
Exchanges are kept for as long as necessary to handle and follow up on your request. Information needed for a contractual relationship, to comply with a legal obligation or to defend a right may then be archived for the corresponding period.
The form does not store message content in the WordPress database. This does not exclude it being kept in the business mailbox and its backups.
Fingerprints and counters used to limit abuse are kept for fifteen minutes to one hour depending on the check. The fingerprint used to detect identical messages is kept for ten minutes.
Audience measurement
The website uses Ahrefs Web Analytics (Ahrefs Pte. Ltd., Singapore) to measure traffic in aggregate form: pages viewed, traffic sources, device type. According to its publisher, this tool sets no cookies and does not store IP addresses with the measurement data. Statistics are used only to improve the website.
Cookies and external services
WordPress may use technical cookies, in particular for logging in to the administration area. The contact form does not use any third-party CAPTCHA.
Links to external websites lead to services whose privacy rules may differ from those of SCM Optimum.
What are your rights?
Under the conditions laid down by law, you can request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, or the restriction of its processing. You may also have the right to data portability where it applies.
You can object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interest.
To exercise your rights, write to contact@scmoptimum.com or to the postal address at the top of this page. Proof of identity may be requested in case of reasonable doubt.
You will normally receive a reply within one month, subject to the extensions provided for by law.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority.
