Context
Within the Supply Chain Excellence unit, which helps the group’s business units improve their supply chain, I ran transformation projects at several European sites.
What I did
Eliminating waiting time at loading: roll-out of the Transwide TMS for carrier appointment booking at 4 plants in France, Belgium, Italy and Germany. Waiting times at loading points were eliminated and car parks are no longer congested.
Moving to real-time inventory management: roll-out of mobile SAP across several plants. Picking for production orders is recorded on handheld terminals at the moment it happens.
Reorganising the logistics of an aerospace subsidiary that produced composite moulds for Airbus A320neo wings: warehouse redesign with cantilever racking to store the moulds, flow reorganisation and a 5S programme.
